Support Local, Support Veterans: Why Every Market Purchase Matters
There is a unique energy at a local market. Between the rows of handmade crafts and local flavors, you’ll find something even more valuable: resilience.
For many veterans, the transition to civilian life isn’t found in a corporate cubicle; it’s found in the "maker" community. At True Compass Veterans Foundation, we believe that "Support Our Troops" is more than a slogan, it’s an action. That is why we are proud to introduce our Market Days Project.
What is the Market Days Project?
When you see the True Compass booth at your local market, you aren’t just seeing a foundation. You’re seeing a platform for our heroes.
Each new market day, we turn our booth into a Success Spotlight. We highlight a different veteran-owned business, giving them the space and visibility to share their craft with the community. Whether they are master woodworkers, coffee roasters, or artists, we provide the "boots on the ground" marketing they need to thrive in the civilian economy.
Supporting the Whole Family
Our mission at True Compass doesn’t stop with the veteran. We know that when one person serves, the whole family serves. That’s why the Market Days Project is a family affair:
Veteran Entrepreneurs: We provide the space and resources for veterans to grow their small businesses.
Children & Families: We offer specific programs and outreach for the spouses and children of veterans, ensuring the "home front" is just as strong as the mission.
From providing community connection for military kids to offering a support network for spouses, we are dedicated to the entire veteran family unit.
Our Mission: Your True North
At True Compass Veterans Foundation, our mission is clear: To provide veterans and their families with the community, resources, and visibility they need to navigate civilian life successfully.
We aren't just a charity; we are a bridge. We help veterans find their "True North" by connecting them to a community that values their skills, supports their families, and celebrates their entrepreneurial spirit.
